For sale is a stunning 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL with only 105,681 original miles!
The 380 SL was the second generation Mercedes roadster built from 1981 until 1985 on the R-107 chassis. The 380 SL offered bulletproof reliability, satisfying power and aggressive good looks, so these roadsters combined all of Mercedes' best features into a cultural Icon.
This 380 SL is equipped with two tops – a almost new and manually operated Soft Top in black, and a removable metal Hardtop in Signal Red.
This 380 SL has a comfortable cockpit with wood accents, A/C, AM/FM, power windows, anti-theft and cruise control. The Power comes from the M-116 3.8-liter SOHC V-8 engine with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection and delivers 160 hp and enough of torque to a four-speed automatic gearbox. The 380 SL has power steering, fully independent suspension and 4-wheel ABS power disc brakes with vented front rotors.
If you check out the Hagerty Price Index, you can see that these icons are valued between 18 and 50 thousands dollars.
This car is very nice inside and out.
The 380 SL is accident and rust free.
It comes in one of its most rare sought after color combinations Signal Red with Cream Beige leather interior.
It is truly a beautiful and super elegant car!
The paint looks in most of the areas very good and deep rich and shiny. But especially at the hood you ca see some clear coat damages.
We had the car just detailed in our repairshop, and refinished the paint professionally to the highest standards.
The car is very straight with no dings, dents or damage.
Both tops are in very good condition as you can see in the pictures.
The seats are still the original Mercedes-Benz leather in Cream Beige, and the new owner has to decide if he likes the original seats, or we could install him new leather seats for only additional 1,500 $.
All wood parts are in very good condition.
The dashboard is very nice, with only small cracks.
The original Mercedes Benz Wheels look great and the tires are in good shape.
The Mercedes has no known mechanical issues at all!
Everything works as it should.
The A/C blows ice cold and the steering is very tight.
The 380 SL drives and shifts very smooth like you would expect from a low mileage classic Mercedes-Benz.
This is a very nice and very low mileage example of a 380sl, don’t let this one slip away.
The car has only been gently used averaging 2,690 miles a year.
We serviced the car throughout and it needs nothing but a new owner!
